Welcome!

Thank you for finding out more about becoming a foster carer or an adoptive parent. We very much welcome your enquiry, because we are always looking for foster carers and adoptive families; especially for 5-15 year olds, groups of brothers and sisters, and children/young people with special needs.

We hope these pages will answer your questions about fostering/adoption and help you decide whether you wish to take your interest further.

Our aim is to provide information which should:

Tell you why we need families to look after children and young people and help you to understand that our job is about finding families for children - not children for families
Give you some idea about the roles and responsibilities of both foster carers and adoptive parents
Explain the process of becoming foster carers and adoptive parents
Help you decide whether you and your family could do this job and whether this is the right time for you to apply.
